I recently read an article regarding the children who's mother or father made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq or
Afghanistan by giving their lives. In November of 2004, a growth was found on my pancreas. My brother, Andrew, had pancreatic cancer and passed away two years ago. I tried to have my life insurance increased on the chance that the same fate was to befall me.
 I was immediately concerned about
my children being left without the necessary funds for education. Both Nancy, my wife, and I
believe that higher education is very important for our children.
While waiting to have the surgery I needed, I began to
sympathize with a more personal interest
with the men and women who
are in the two war zones and dying on behalf of my family, and all of us. I realized that their spouses were going to have the same problems that my wife would
have should I receive a bad prognosis.
 For this reason, I decided that I needed to take a stand to help support the families of fallen soldiers by starting the non-profit organization called, "Rock The People, Inc" and the "Fallen
Soldiers Fund."
The brave men and women
willing to risk their
lives for our country's
safety ask nothing of us
but for our support.
They deserve, at the
very least, to know that
their families will be
taken care in the event
that they cannot.
